Obedience and Agility Training

Obedience Training

Do you wish your dog walked nicely without pulling or dragging you along? Would you like them to learn to sit stand, drop and come when called? We have the right obedience class for you from puppy to adults.

We’ll teach you how to train your dog in a way that works for both of you using a positive reinforcement method. Our highly trained instructors will teach you in small steps so that you will be able to more effectively communicate with your dog.

Our classes are tailored to match you and your dog's training level. In our beginners' course, you will learn the basics of Dog Obedience Training. As you progress with your training and move up through the different class levels, you will learn a variety of exercises such as working your dog at a distance off the lead, retrieving over a jump, heeling patterns and much more.

Rally-O

Rally-O (short for Rally Obedience) is a fun sport for both owners or handlers and dogs. It’s a dog sport that’s more informal and relaxed compared to Obedience Trialling.

In Rally-O, you and your dog perform together by navigating a course and performing different tasks at each station marked by a sign. Working together and using positive praise throughout the course, you and your dog are learning skills that will apply to daily life. Our club offers Rally-O from Novice up to Masters level. Join us and see if this style suits you and your dog.

Agility Training

Agility training is an exciting and challenging way to spend time with your dog. By leading your dog through a series of obstacles you and your dog will enjoy the challenge of beating your time and accuracy. Agility training provides a release for your dog’s energy and boosts your energy in a way that’s more interesting than just taking them for a walk.

We offer different levels of training

Foundation / Beginners: This 8-week course is divided into 4 weeks of foundation training followed by 4 weeks beginners training. You will be taught ground work exercises and be introduced to every piece of equipment.

Intermediate: You will progress from learning to negotiate small sequences to leading your dog on a full course.

Advanced: Here you will learn more advanced courses and manoeuvres. This class is for dogs which are trialling and have gained a title.
